Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress who is best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of school after her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. They were struggling to get by and was offered her first part in the acting world in the film Rachel's Room's main character. Her portrayal of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the T.V. movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, a character in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. After leaving the show, Grace would like to be more prominently in film having played opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She appeared as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. The same character was played by Grace in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes, playing Shannon. Grace was a part of the show's sixth season that aired between 2013 and 2014. She portrays Faith, who is the muse and fan of the celebrities. As a part of the Gyllenhaal family, she's the younger sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a young teenager when she appeared in small roles in several films from her father. She also worked with her brother in the 2001 popular film Donnie Darko. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal's lead roles in Secretary, the romantic comedy-drama erotico and Sherrybaby (a film) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Awards.
