Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is an Spanish flamenco and pop singer. Since she was a teenager, Rosalia has been involved in traditional and popular music. Yet, her musical interests are also extending to diverse genres such as hip-hop, soul and soul. Her voice has been said by none less of a musician than flamenco Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet but that has a smoky tinge like traditional one. El Mal Querer is her new album released in 2018, which has been a commercial and critical success. After Los Angeles, her debut album released in 2017 was awarded an Latin Grammy for Best New Artist as well as the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami will be her third album of full length. The album featured collaborations on songwriting with a variety of musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The set was released in March 2022, following the appearance of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish artist to sing solo on the show. In addition to winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first woman to win the Latin Album of the Year twice.
